International Postcard Week

I discovered International Postcard Week through a member at Postcrossing.
On the front you can see an aerial view of my home. I took the photo from the tower you can see in the upper right corner. It's a monument for the defeat of the Frenchman in 1813, where Napoleon was prevented to conquer Berlin.
Every year in August we have a festival where this feat is celebrated.

Traveling the Postcard Life

Hi,
My daughter, Christine and I had a marvelous time traveling around England. Picnicking along the English Channel. However, having lunch stolen by a seagull was funny. Finding recipe sculptures was a plus for this cook. Christine's favorite was Selvreidge and Co. I love the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Tower Bridge and Tower of London.

Celebrate International Postcard Week, October 7-13, 2018 with Citris Mackerel
Ingredients:
2 mackerel filets with skin
1 citris fruit
10 grams butter for frying
50 grams whole wheat flour for coating
freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1. heat frying pan
2. add butter and zest fruit
3. dust filets with flour and fry skin side, for 1 minute
4. turn fish and fry with squeeze of citris fruit until skin is crispy
5. Season and serve
