The sender writes:
Hamburg is a beautiful place, especially for a water person like me.  This card creates a very different kind of reality.  I'm a wave.  But it has it's own kind of beauty to it.  I wish you all the best!

Exposure - Landart Antony Gormley
Lelystad, The Netherlands

Hello,
In our province at this moment there are 8 land arts.  I have visited 7 of them and this is my favorite one.  Locally it is called the pooping man.  There are wonderful sunsets by this sculpture.  There is a new one coming this month.

Greetings,
Brenda - From the Netherlands

Meet me at Ma Fischer's
Open 24 Hours

IPCW - 6-12, 2019

Hi,
Ma Fischer's is an iconic restaurant for late nite meals after going out on One East Side.  As you can see, UW-Milw (Wisconsin University - Milwaukee) students frequent this place, as I did when I was at UWM as a student in 1983.  Good times, lots of laughter and memories here.

See ya next year!

New Iberia, LA (Louisiana)
Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler (French for 'Let The Good Times Roll)

Hello from Louisiana, USA!  The pictures on the front of the card are of various kinds of food most people in Louisiana like to cook.  My favorite is the Beignets, which is fried dough sprinkled with lots of powdered sugar.  Another favorite around Thanksgiving is the Pecan Pie.  Pralines is a kind of pecan candy that is very popular here as well.  Crawfish boils are popular in the spring around lent and Easter.  There are many types of food not found in other states, including Boudin, Jambalaya, and Gumbo.  I hope you enjoy this card and that you have a wonderful postcard week filled with lots of great cards!

Hello!  from the Big Orange!
Eau Gallie / Melbourne, Florida, USA

International Postcard Week
6-12 October 2019

This postcard highlights a tacky eyesore "Big Orange" built in 1966 by Adger Smith, a lifelong resident of Eau Gallie.  It was used as a welcome station by the chamber of commerce to dispense orange juice to tourists.  Big Orange has managed to escape all attempts to demolish the gaudy eyesore.  In fact it is so ugly it has become an icon to the sophisticated Melbourne (formerly the city of Eau Gallie) residents.

My daughter, Christine, and I had a wonderful time traveling around Italy.  This was just one of our stops.  Did you know there is a website called, Feet in famous places?  I send my travel photos to it and someone eventually adds them.

Picnic on LoherstraBe, Fulda, Germany

Hi,
On a visit to Fulda, Germany my daughter, Christine, and I attended a Picnic with the local citizens.  It was a lot of fun.  And great music.

I had purchased some cookies to share from a one Euro store.  I heard over and over, "Oh!  Cookies from America" I didn't have the heart to tell them where I really purchased them.

Enjoy the Day!

Casper, Wyoming
Hello,

My first attempt at a postcard and failed.  I put the wrong date and it was too late to send them back.  Hopefully next year I will do better.

Sue

(Dear Sue, I believe the first three years of International Postcard Week I made at least one mistake on every card.  On one I even put the wrong year!  That just makes the card 'more' homemade.  Do not worry about it. I love your card.)

Greetings from East Meadow, Long Island, NY, USA!  I created this postcard from my own photos.  Here there is so many beautiful things to see.  Lots of beaches and amazing scenic views.  Of course many, many lighthouses!  On the postcard you can see Horton Point Lighthouse, Hempstead house, a goat and rooster at Norman J. Levy Park, sunflower from a sunflower field - there are many of those, a parrot and beautiful butterfly form Long Island Aquarium and a view with boats and weather vane from Sea Cliff Beach.  I hop you like my postcard!  Have an amazing day.

Hugs

Today I received a card that was not signed and is completely blank. The message reads “and we thought our town was small.” The postmark is smudged, but I can see the numbers “061”. I don’t know what part of the zip it is. Anyone know who this is?

I've just received a blank postcard.
Blank (and white) on the front, blank (and white) on the back.
Only my address, a postal stamp and the satmp of Jabish Brook Middle School - Massachusetts...
I think it's really not fair.
