International Postcard Week, October 1-7, 2023
Hello from Victoria, BC Canada!  These are some of the neighbourhood cats that I have befriended.  Clockwise form the top-right are Tuxedo, Lola, Pebbles, Bam Bam and Loki.

Thankfully none of these cats are strays or feral, and they are all fixed and have loving homes.

I love cats but don't have any right now so I am glad that I get to enjoy these furry friends.

Take care, Sara, Canada
p.s. The cat to the right is my cat-niece Faith

International Postcard Week - October 1-7, 2023

Hello,

Every day is an opportunity to change your life.                                                              Nature makes me happy. Nature is the pure truth with its various forms.  I love the mist over the meadows.  It brings something mysterious.  I walk and cycle as long as I am moving.  I live in a village with several forests, extensive nature reserves full of variation between forests. Countless ferns and heathland are great for walking and cycling, cycling on a multi-man bike or independently on my city bike.  The sunrise and sunset in this area in particular provide beautiful pictures.

I read some books every year.  Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.  Our own happiness depends on the smiles of others.  No matter what happens, I keep looking for my smile. Accept yourself and the rest will follow!

Greetings,                                                                                                                        Marian, The Netherlands

Hello,
This year I was curious to see what you can create with AI. They made square designs.  It is fun to do.

Happy International Postcard Week 2023

The Butler County Courthouse, Greenville, Alabama

There have been four Butler County courthouses at this location.  The first one was built in the 1820's and lasted for more than 25 years before it was destroyed by fire on April 12, 1853.

The second was another wood structure that cost around $6,000 to complete.  It was in use until 1870 when it became apparent that it needed extensive repairs and it was recommended by a committee to replace it with a larger building.

By 1871 work started on the third building, this time it would be made of brick.  This one would last for 30 years before the county realized it was too small for their needs and was torn down to make room for a larger building.

The final courthouse was finished in 1903 and it was wired for electricity.  Considering the size f the town, this is quite remarkable!  There have been changes to the structure over the years, air conditioning was added 50 years later, the dome was replaced in 1977, but this building has lasted.  Personally, I hope it lasts for many years to come.

I wish you all the best and may your mailbox be filled with wonderful postcards,                                        Brenda Cole

International Postcard Day (Week) October 2023
So I am not sure who was more confused; the raven, the sign, or me.  But there was snow and no ducks to be seen in this picture.
But well what can you expect from our national parks.  There is always something new to be explored, marveled at, or simply forced to tilt your head and question everything you have ever known about life up until this point.
In the spirit of all of that I hope that many grand adventures come your way and many beautiful postcards grace your mailbox.  Live life like it was meant to be lived, but unfortunately without the ducks.
Trina and Leo, Idaho
